Fall has to be one of my favorite seasons and in Germany it is truly a special time, the changing colors, the fall flavors, the cooler temperatures. We were able to enjoy a bit of it at the beginning of the month but then we had to do a bit of traveling at the end of the month.

A busy beginning of the month for us as it was our own wedding, so there was still a lot to organize to get ready for the big day, or more like a whole week of celebration. However after that we were finally able to relax a bit. I also had some friends come stay with us for a few days, so we did some sightseeing nearby.

In these few weeks we were lucky to find an apartment and moved in right away. However there will be a lot of work in the next few weeks and months ahead to make the apartment livable. So busy weeks ahead, but in the free moments we also wanted to explore the surrounding area. A few quick trips here and there.

Here is to our new adventure in a new country, well at least for me. It definitely won't be as easy as the UK as there will be a huge language barrier for me, but i have to give it a shot and see what happens. So far the first few weeks were good, slowly adjusting and settling in.

Although I did have another half term break in February it wasn't much of a break this time as we had both a portfolio project due and an exam on the first day back at school. So there wasn't much exploring however I did finish school mid March so after that we were able to visit a few places.

A busy month back to school but at least its the second term, so I know now what to expect or at least I think I knew. We did a few more day trips on the weekend before the semester got busy.

I had a five week break from school so we had a lot more time to drive around and explore. It was mostly day trips as I still had some work to do for school which included an extensive portfolio project as well as daily cooking practice.

As I had started school in September exploring became less and less. I was driving down every Sunday to school then driving back home every Friday night. So there wasn't much time left each weekend plus when exams were approaching, the weekends mostly consisted of practicing and cooking exam dishes.
