I have been wanting to make this awhile and remembered that last time I was in the US, I had bought Mochiko flour. As I had the main ingredient then i was ready to try making this.
Another thanksgiving dinner and this year we had an all-time record of biggest turkey ever, coming in at 14.4 kilos. Didn’t really try or change any different recipes from last time.

This month we mostly stayed at home and/or in Germany, we got to enjoy a lot more home cooking and baking and also enjoyed some nice warmer spring like days.
Although we were home this month we ended up doing quite a lot of things like going on walks, cooking and baking, eating out and celebrating the Chinese new year.
it started out with the new year in Italy, then Cologne in the middle of the month for a furniture exhibition, and towards the end of the month we were able to enjoy the nice winter weather.

We decided to go to northern Italy for an easy and relaxing holiday, we only booked our accommodations with nothing else planned.
It has been four years since I was back in china and was curious to see what had changed and what had remained the same, mostly because we heard a lot and at the same so little from what was happening in China during the pandemic. It was a work trip so I tried to sneak some time in to explore but the weather also didn’t make that easy as there were some days were the rain did not stop. but it was nice to visit again after so many years.
A short and very busy trip to mostly visit friends and family which always involve a lot of eating but in included a work trip to vegas and a quick day trip to La Jolla and a trip to the happiest place on earth, Disneyland. this was a much needed trip, not so relaxing but good quality time with friends and family.
