Work Trip to Shanghai September 2023

It has been four years since I was back in china and was curious to see what had changed and what had remained the same, mostly because we heard a lot and at the same so little from what was happening in China during the pandemic. It was a work trip so I tried to sneak some time in to explore but the weather also didn’t make that easy as there were some days were the rain did not stop. but it was nice to visit again after so many years.

Los Angeles August 2023

A short and very busy trip to mostly visit friends and family which always involve a lot of eating but in included a work trip to vegas and a quick day trip to La Jolla and a trip to the happiest place on earth, Disneyland. this was a much needed trip, not so relaxing but good quality time with friends and family.

Los Angeles December 2022 Week 2

Another busy week of spending time with friends and family and finishing last minute work tasks before the Christmas holiday. Still had some time to enjoy the nice weather and visit the Getty, we had a special architecture and garden tour, I had learned so much more about the Getty this time than ever before then the weekend was all about celebrating Christmas, cooking and feasting at home.

Los Angeles December 2022 Week 1

What a busy first week with balancing work and spending time with family and friends, had to play tourist and tour guide for the week but i also do enjoy visiting places that i would not normally go during my trips back to LA. Over the weekend we drove up a little bit north of LA, first stopping in Montecito and Santa Barbara then in Solvang then dinner in Los Olivos. The next day we continued further to Paso Robles to visit a winery and Sensorio with the last day visiting Hearst castle. It was a nice weekend trip.

Dayton Ohio December 2022

Another trip to Dayton but this time we stayed a bit longer. We revisited some places but also saw a few new things. but it always amazes me how many inventions and discoveries were made in Dayton.

Weekend Trip to Cassis October 2022

A longer weekend trip to cassis, as we left later on Thursday we decided to stay over in iItaly for the night in order to not arrive in the middle of the night. Found a very nice villa in Novi Ligure with lovely staff and a wonderful breakfast feast, apparently there is an outlet nearby we will need to stop next time.

Documenta Fifteen in Kassel August 2022

My first time to Documenta and what an experience, thankfully we went with our cousins who have been there before and helped us navigate where to go and what to see. There is really so much to see that you could spend days, weeks if you wanted to see and absorb everything but two full days was plenty for first timers. now we have to wait another five years for the Documenta sixteen.

Birthday Weekend in Paris May 2022

A nice few days in Paris to celebrate a birthday and a family reunion after three years of not seeing one another. Lots of eating, lots of wine, lots of walking and exploring, some culture but most importantly, lots of laughs.
