As we waited to check into our airbnb we had a typical danish lunch at husmanns vinstue. After some food in our bellies and a little rest at the airbnb we then took a walk around the neighborhood. we had never visited copenhagen during the spring or warmer months so it was nice to see the city really alive with people flooding the streets. As we didn’t want to travel or walk to far we looked for restaurants in the area and found an indonesian restaurant, saji and we thought we would give it a try.

This was the main reason we came to copenhagen again, so we knew that it would be a couple hour event so we didn’t plan much for the rest of the day. Yet again what an amazing experience and probably our favorite so far, it was also nice to go there during the day and be able to see everything.

We finally had a full free day, so we eagerly decided to embark on some sightseeing adventures in the city. We began our exploration at the beautiful botanical gardens, where we were delighted to see so many of the flowers and plants starting to bloom, showcasing an array of vibrant and stunning colors throughout the garden. In addition to the outdoor displays, they also maintain several impressive greenhouses that house various tropical plants, cacti, and succulents. Towards the end of the visit, we discovered a charming butterfly house where many butterflies flitted gracefully around us, creating a tranquil atmosphere.
Following our time at the gardens, we made our way to the Cisternerne to experience something completely different. I find it quite remarkable that they have converted an old water cistern into a unique art exhibition space. After immersing ourselves in art, we decided to take a little break back at our Airbnb to recharge before dinner. When the time came to eat, we had to split into smaller groups. A few of us went to the renowned restaurant Alchemist, while two of us went for a more casual dining experience at Marv & Ben.
It was a relatively short trip to Copenhagen, but we still managed to do and see a lot during our time there, creating some truly memorable experiences with family that we will cherish for years to come.
