Our Year in the UK August-September 2016

These two months we tried to explore as much as we could in between going to Germany as we had to enjoy these last few weeks of summer before i had to start school.

August 2016

It was Actually a very nice and warm day in birmingham and it seemed like we were not the only ones enjoying the weather.  when you live in the uk you learn that the weather is so unpredictable, it can change in a matter of minutes.  So when its a nice day you take full advantage of it until the weather decides to change.

next stop we headed to Bicester heritage for the sunday scramble.  this place used to be an old bomber base for the British military air force, it has now been restored and many of the buildings have been converted to house specialists of classic cars, MOTORCYCLES, and aeroplanes.   most of the shops and garages are open to take a look inside as well as many people drive their classic cars there, so its just as nice to walk around looking at the different cars.  DEFINITELY worth a visit even if you don't like classic cars as the architecture of the buildings are also quite interesting.

September 2016

As my parents were visiting Birmingham for the first time, we wanted to take them somewhere where we haven't gone yet but something interesting.  So we drove a few hours down to bleinheim palace.  we didn't know until we arrived but It was the principal residence of the Dukes of Marlborough, however it was more famously known as the birthplace and ancestral home of sir Winston Churchill.  walking inside the palace gives you an idea of how it would have been to live there in the past as well as understand the history of the palace, who lives there and when.  the gardens surrounding the palace are quite nice, however we didn't walk through all of it.  they also seem to host concerts and outdoor cinema which would be very interesting to check out.  it is a very nice place to visit but i would definitely recommend going early in the morning to avoid the crowds.
