Girl and Goat in Downtown Los Angeles

August 20 2021

Thankfully we have friends who enjoy food as much as we do and like trying new things, so they reserved and planned everything we just needed to show up.

a really delicious dinner, interesting flavor combinations and textures. the top dish of the night was the goat curry, it was rich and tasty but wasn’t overpoweringly heavy. we asked for additional masa chips so that we could scoop up every bit of that curry. this is a must try dish. other nice surprises were the chicken thighs, scallops and duck tartare. all were super tasty but maybe it was the dishes we choose but we felt that some of the dishes we had a SIMILAR overall FLAVOR theme with each dish being a bit spicy and creamy. There could have been more acid or citrus flavor or a bit of sweetness. there are many other dishes to choose from so maybe what we choose wasn’t wide enough of a selection. The desserts were also pretty good, we definitely finished them all although already quite full.

i would highly recommend to try if you can get a reservation. they are sharing plates so recommended to go with a few people so that you can try a lot more on the menu. although I could have eaten the goat curry all by myself.
