A bit more of a relaxing week as most people are on holiday, so just enjoying the downtime and ringing in the new year at home.

Still had some time to enjoy the nice weather and visit the Getty, we had a special architecture and garden tour, I had learned so much more about the Getty this time than ever before then the weekend was all about celebrating Christmas, cooking and feasting at home.
Read MoreWhat a busy first week with balancing work and spending time with family and friends, had to play tourist and tour guide for the week but i also do enjoy visiting places that i would not normally go during my trips back to LA. Over the weekend we drove up a little bit north of LA, first stopping in Montecito and Santa Barbara then in Solvang then dinner in Los Olivos. The next day we continued further to Paso Robles to visit a winery and Sensorio with the last day visiting Hearst castle. It was a nice weekend trip.

Read MoreA longer weekend trip to cassis, as we left later on Thursday we decided to stay over in iItaly for the night in order to not arrive in the middle of the night. Found a very nice villa in Novi Ligure with lovely staff and a wonderful breakfast feast, apparently there is an outlet nearby we will need to stop next time.

There is really so much to see that you could spend days, weeks if you wanted to see and absorb everything but two full days was plenty for first timers. now we have to wait another five years for the Documenta sixteen.

Read MoreWe decided to spend the holidays with family in Los Angeles as we had not spent so much with time and family there since the start of the pandemic and can’t remember the last time I spent the holidays in Los Angeles. Plus it was nice to get away from the the snow and winter weather. It was such a nice and relaxing holiday, just which is exactly what we needed but never do.
