Leben in Deutschland November 2018

This was a busy month as we were moving into our new house, so not much time to do anything else. Hopefully next month we can relax a bit more and enjoy our time in our new house.

First Snowfall of the Season

one of my favorite holidays of the year is during the month of november, even with the stress of moving we still had to have a thanksgiving dinner. it was a yearly tradition that i had done when living in china and wanted that tradition to continue in germany. this would be the second one in germany and the first one in our new house. some recipes will soon to follow.

10.7kg Turkey

Carrots with Pecans

Cornbread

Thanksgiving Dinner

Pork Belly

Sweet Potato Medallions

Pumpkin Pie

we also had some friends visiting us, so besides thanksgiving dinner and enjoying the new house, we took a trip to the city. The weather didn’t start out great but then the rain and clouds passed and the sun came out. after the weekend the snow came again, more than the first time but it soon melted all away.
