As the others went off to dine at another Michelin-rated restaurant, we made the decision to enjoy a pleasant dinner at a Michelin Bib Gourmand establishment instead.
Amuse bouche
Bread and whipped butter
Hamachi - elderflower - green strawberry
Mushrooms - egg - ramson
Leek - trout roe - walnut
Raw beef - carrots - cheese
Pork - celeriac - parsley
Rhubarb - parsnip - woodruff
It was a delicious meal, featuring a plethora of interesting flavor combinations and varying textures. they offer either a four course or six course menu or you can also order a la carte. The overall experience felt distinctly modern European, but when the last dish arrived, which consisted of tender pork, creamy celeriac, and fresh parsley elements that exuded a very French culinary essence. We opted for one wine pairing as well as one juice pairing; however, we were somewhat disappointed by the juice pairing, as we felt that the juices leaned a bit too heavily on the sweet side, which meant they didn’t always complement the food as effectively as we had hoped.
Other than that, the food was absolutely tasty, and the service provided was truly commendable. the restaurant has been awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand for several consecutive years, alongside receiving multiple accolades for its impressive wine list. Therefore, I believe they genuinely know what they are doing when it comes to a nice dining experience. If you are in search of a pleasant dining experience that is nice but not overly fancy, then this would certainly be the perfect place to go.
