Life in Germany June 2018
It was quite a busy month with friends visiting and birthday celebrations. there were a few rainy days but most of the time it was sunny and warm, just as summer should be.
as I still had some friends visiting, we decided to walk around landsberg then the next day in Munich. so happy the weather was still nice.
i missed making real pizza, it was great that i found a gluten free alternative but i just wanted to make some real pizza dough. maybe it had been so long since i had made pizza dough that this one came out a bit too soft, it was a bit difficult to roll out and form into a circle without it sticking everywhere. however it was still delicious in the end, homemade pizza is always the best. a dream or fantasy for far in the future is to have my own pizza oven.
my birthday dinner was a surprise, i didn't know where we would be going. we went to schlossangler alp, a gasthaus high up in the mountains close to the alps, however the weather was really horrible that day so the only view we could see that day was grey with a lot of rain. we will need to come back when the weather is nicer to actually see the nice view, but i have also heard there are many hiking paths nearby. despite the bad weather the evening was still great, good company and really excellent food. a somewhat traditional bavarian kitchen but all was prepared very well.
