on our last night our friends took us to this little Japanese restaurant.
Shrimp ball starter
Red mullet
Octopus with chickpea and potatoes, sake sauce
Monkfish, shaved zucchini, Japanese beans
Rice with kombu and freshly grated lemon zest
Strawberry and matcha
Creme caramel
What an amazing and intimate meal experience we had. The restaurant is very small and cozy, only seating 6, or at most 7 people at the counter, which makes for a very personal and unique dining atmosphere. The food, the quality of the ingredients, and the beautiful presentation were all truly outstanding. Considering all this, the price of 50€ per person for such a delicious and well-prepared meal is an excellent value. The chef uses local and seasonal ingredients, meaning the menu changes regularly to reflect what’s freshest, keeping the experience exciting each time you visit. I highly recommend this spot if you find yourself in Cassis and are craving some delicious Japanese cuisine. They also offer bento lunch boxes, which we haven’t tried yet but definitely plan to on our next visit.
