Apparently they had a one michelin star for a couple of years but then it was taken away, so we were curious to maybe understand how that could have happened and we kind of figured it out. we did get the time of the reservation wrong so instead of having an hour and half to eat we only had one hour. So it definitely was a stressful hour of eating. But an hour and half would have also been quite hectic and fast for a party of 4, usually i would consider given people two to two and half hours to eat. yes it is a busy place but maybe that is why they lost their michelin star, it was way to hectic and chaotic which made the service feel so rushed and fraught.
Besides the feeling that we needed as fast as we could, the food was really good, the house specialties of sashimi with either a sauce or other ingredients did make the dishes unique and most dishes soy sauce was not used, per the instructions of the servers. if we did not have the feeling of being rushed or kicked out, i think we would have been able to enjoy the food more and be able to distinguish the different tastes and textures. however i think even if we had the full hour and half we would have still felt rushed, the food is good but i am not sure it is worth eating in that kind of chaotic and stress-filled environment.
