Teleferic Barcelona in Los Angeles

August 7 2023

As this trip to LA was so short we didn’t have so much time to eat out all the time but we decided to try this relatively new nearby spanish restaurant.

Jamón Ibérico de Bellota- Exquisite 38 months cured Iberian Pata Negra ham

Ham Croquetas- Croquettes with Iberian ham & aioli

Patatas Bravas- Crispy potatoes topped with homemade brava sauce & aioli

Gazpacho Porrón- Watermelon tartare, gazpacho & basil oil served in a porrón

Cali-Flower- Crispy cauliflower pops with a deliciously tangy 'romesco' glaze

Paella Mixta- Pork, chicken, gulf shrimp & octopus

What is good about Spanish food and tapas, you can share and try a lot of dishes and perfect when you aren’t too hungry. we shared a few tapas and then as our main we shared the paella. i guess we came in with higher expectations as we had been quite often in the last few months to spain so had a good indication on what certain dishes should taste like, most of them were pretty close to what you might find in spain. the patatas bravas are always a good and delicious choice, these ones were a lot spicier than what you get in spain. the croquettes and jamon are also safe and good choices. we liked the gazpacho especially with the addition of watermelon. the cauliflower was just ok, don’t think you will find that in spain so it isn’t something you must get. and the paella mixta was good, combination of meat and fish but they have other varieties of paella.
