we came for the francesinha, it is what you need to eat in Porto and we were told that this place has one of the better versions of it. it is a Portuguese sandwich originating from Porto, with Layers of meat like ham, sausage, or steak all covered with melted cheese and a spiced tomato and beer sauce. it was good but it was also very rich, all that meat with cheese and thick sauce. i wouldn’t eat that everyday but good to try and share. besides the francesinha we also tried some rissoles and the bread platter. the food was delicious, the service was good, can’t ask for a better way to start of trip in porto.
