La Brasserie du Corton in Cassis

another quick weekend trip to cassis but at least this time we finally had some time to eat out.


Tartare de boeuf aux huitres de Tamaris (Beef tartare with Tamaris oysters)

Calamars farcis Aux condiments d’ici (Squid stuffed with local
condiments)

La véritable sôcisse de Marseille au fenouil, Poulpe et gnocchis à l’encre de seiche (The real sausage from Marseille with fennel,
Octopus and gnocchi with squid ink)

Pois chiches de Rougiers
Rafraichis au citron, sardine marinée (Refreshed Rougiers chickpeas with lemon, marinated sardines)

Moruette de nos côtes
Petit épeautre aux champignons, émulsion curry (Cod from our coasts Spelled with mushrooms, curry emulsion)

Tarte au citron Madie (Madie Lemon tart)


this is the the brasserie of La Villa Madie, the 3 star michelin restaurant situated right below. the ambience was quite nice but it would have been a bit more enjoying to sit outside but it was getting cooler in the evenings already. we each choose a starter, main course and dessert. there was a good selection of dishes that focus on local and fresh produce and ingredients, when you live near the mediterranean coast it is hard not to have the best or the freshest ingredients, especially a large selection of fresh fish and seafood. the dishes were all delicious and very well presented, hope that it is really a good representation of the restaurant downstairs, curious to try the 3 michelin star restaurant someday in the future.
