I had been to the La Régalade saint honoré for brunch a couple of years ago but this would be my first time coming to this location. My father had came here before and really enjoyed it so it must be good.
The appetizers:
The Amuse Bouche: Housemade terrine
SAUTEED snails from Languedoc with soft boiled egg, garlic and persil, and jus with cress
marinated grilled squid with artichokes and coriander
SIGNATURE dish of creamed squid ink risotto with Espelette chili, garlic, ROASTED gambas and ham
the main courses:
Sauteed veal filet roasted with fried new potatoes and marrow jus
Breton cod roasted, steamed buttered green peas and clams with Earl Grey emulsion
Daily Dish of Iberico Pork Shoulder with Creamy Potatoes and Meat Jus
Signature Dish of Caramelized pork belly from Mr.Ospital with green beans and meat jus
the desserts:
Signature Dish of Warm soufflé with Grand-Marnier
Daily Dish of Figs with Ice Cream
Signature Dish of Traditional home-made rice pudding with dairy-caramel sauce
CHocolate ganache, 85% abinao chocolate with morello cherry and kampot pepper sorbet
as we were a large group who likes to eat and try different things, we were actually able to order quite a few dishes so that each of us could have a small taste of everything. all the signature dishes were spot on and makes sense why they are their signature dishes. however the other dishes as well as the daily specials were also just as good. the quality of food is really top for the price you pay, 3 courses for just 36€ is a steal, and the portions don’t become smaller, many of us couldn’t finish our main course. there are some more TRADITIONAL dishes but have been transformed into a modern and lighter version, while some other dishes uses specific french ingredients but then twists it into something new.
it is slightly cheaper (5€) than the fixed menu at la régalade saint honoré, but that doesn’t mean that the quality of the food or service goes down. a highly recommend if you are looking for some delicious food that will definitely fill you up without breaking the bank.
