Paris September 2018

Sept 5-9 2018

back in paris for the third time this year and not tired of it. some family and friends time plus a bit of work this time around.

I had arrived in paris in the late afternoon, so i just went to our place to relax a bit, enjoy the nice weather then we were off to a sicilian dinner. Not a very french meal for my first meal in paris, but the food was delicious. everything was so fresh, even the pasta. i had never had such thick pasta before but i really liked it, it was a different texture that i was used to but it was still very al dente. and the desserts were also so good. if you are looking for some simple italian (sicilian) home cooking style food than this is the place to go. and if you grab a spot outside, it is always a great way to people watch.

Today was a day filled with a lot of eating. First stop was back to EnYaa for lunch, please see my post for more details on our lunch there.

As we were near the Rodin Museum, we decided to stop by as it had been over 20 years since the last time i went. i had only remembered a few of the well known pieces, i definitely had not remembered how large the museum and sculpture garden was and how enormous the collection was. all the sculptures are even more impressive to see now that i can better understand and comprehend the artistry, all the details that each have even after 150 year later of when they were ORIGINALLY made.

it was then back for a little rest and off to our next meal at david toutain. Post to come soon on our dinner.

we headed to the maison and objet show to look and see what the trends are for home furnishings. we found some very interesting things there, some were more for artists to show their work rather than the real functionality for homeusers.

after a whole day of walking around the exhibition, we definitely grew an appetite. so we headed for a more casual but tasty dinner at La Regalade Conservatoire. Please click on the link for more pictures and info on our dinner.
