Black Bean Quinoa Burger
I am still Trying out different combinations to find the perfect non meat burger patty.

Ingredients:
1 15 oz (500g) can black beans, rinsed and drained
1/2 cup quinoa
1/2 cup breadcrumbs (gluten free option: finely crushed rice crackers)
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 onion, minced with microplane
1/2 tsp of paprika or cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp cumin
salt and pepper
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp water
Method:
Prepare the quinoa according to the instructions on the package.
Roughly mash the black beans into a bowl with a fork leaving some whole black beans in a paste-like mixture.
Add the quinoa, bread crumbs, onion, garlic, paprika, cumin, salt and pepper into the bowl. Then combine the cornstarch and water and stir until it is a thick and smooth consistency and add it into the bowl. Then mix everything together with hands.
Form the black bean mixture into 5 patties.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet.
Cook the patties in the hot oil until heated through, 3 to 4 minutes per side.
